I am sincerely grateful to experience those moments amongst different ethnic groups. Capturing their soul with my camera is a way to share a magical and authentic experience. The Dany is a tribe from Papua Indonesia located in the Baliem valley.
In 2015 I spent around 10 days in this remote location that actually I could call a secret paradise.
My idea was to do a black and white series to give force to the work and I always brought with me a black piece of fabric that I used as background.
I still remember the Dany singing together and realizing how lucky I was to experience these moments.
In 2016 I published the book « Walok » which means love in Papuan language, a photography book about this Papuan tribe.
